Work It Out

Really trying to get back on the workout train.  Last week was walks and an exercise DVD - it's tough!  This week we are going to continue the same and try and fit in at least two short runs this week - foot permitting.  I picked up a running log at the mall so am excited to start using it!  Today we just had a mini walk, because of fussiness, but I also fit in 20 minutes of exercise in the house so not a bad start for the week.

Kaia is amazing!  She did so well on her appointment today!  She only cried for like 30 seconds with her shots!  She's healthy and strong.  I was a titch off on her measurements.  The nurse had her at just a little over 25 inches instead of 26.  She also weighed in at 12lbs 13oz.  And the best news of all . . . still no helmet needed!  I hope it stays that way!

Finally, long overdo, requested pictures of the Jers (L) and Yosh (R)!  This was right before a hike we took them on in June before little Miss Kaia arived.

hey friend, so glad to hear that you are slowly starting to get of your foot again!

what workout video are you doing? would you recommend it to others?

i think walks are so underrated. not only does it burn calories, i always feel amazing after taking a walk. it's something i can include my whole in, and i just feel like i got a great workout AND i got a chance to connect with the ones i love. unless, of course, it happens to be really hot out, then i come home sweaty and cranky. =)

I'm so glad Kaia did well, although I think a helmet will be cute if she does have to wear one someday. I really hope that you will be an inspiration to me with the exercising. You really are doing very well, I'm so proud of you. Just watch that foot missy!

I exercised for the first time in weeks today - an uphill hike - and have my alarm set for 6:15 tomorrow to get in a workout before my girls are up. It's helpful to know someone else is also getting back on the exercise train!

What exercise DVD do you do? Have you tried Jillian's 30 Day Shred? I thought I was in good shape until I nearly died doing her 20 minute workout...

Hi friend! I've been trying to do "Personal Training With Jackie: XTreme Timesaver Training" at least twice a week. It's only a 30 minute workout so definitely doable but tough too! It combines cardio (because it's so fast paced) with strength training - mostly legs, glutes, and shoulders. I love it! And, yes, walks are underrated aren't they?!

Karen, I'll watch it :) Thanks for being such a fantastic friend! Just let us know when you'll join us for another walk!

Sarah! Thank you so much for following back! So honored to have you :)

We'll have to get the scoop from you on things not to be missed/must dos at least once in your life from NY since we are in driving distance now.

Jess, sweet little Kaia has a bit of a flat head and if it got worse the helmet was a possibility to have to round it out . . . but fingers crossed, we're still making it without!

Anne, that's excellent! Good for you! I LOVE hikes!

Ameena, I have been doing "Personal Training With Jackie: XTreme Timesaver Training" but I've heard a lot about Jillian's workout lately so maybe I should try that too!
